MADELINE MINDEK, LCSW, BCD, has thirty years of experience as a therapist and mediator working with couples, families and children. She is an associate at Bauer, Shepherd, Ross and Associates, a Collaborative Alternatives and psychotherapy practice in Cupertino, and is in private practice in San Mateo. In the Collaborative Practice model, she serves as a collaborative coach in divorce, civil and probate matters, and as a child specialist. Madeline's expertise includes teaching and promoting effective communication and cooperative co-parenting skills and she is also available as a mediator for the development of co-parenting plans. Madeline is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP),Collaborative Practice of Silicon Valley, Collaborative Practice of San Francisco, and Collaborative Practice of San Mateo. She is currently serving as co-chair of the San Mateo Executive Committee, and is a member of the Professional Excellence/Mentoring committee and of the CPCal training committee. Madeline has advanced training in the team model of Collaborative Divorce and is a trainer in the full team model of Collaborative Practice. She has presented to attorney, mental health, and civic organizations on the roles of the Collaborative Coach and Child Specialist in Collaborative Practice.
