Edna Avraham, MFT has 25 years of experience as a therapist working with families and children going through emotional difficulties, separation and divorce. She also works as a divorce coach, assisting parents in putting together a co-parenting agreement using the Collaborative Practice Model. Through this model, parents learn to communicate effectively advocating for their family and children in a respectful and direct way.
Edna specializes in working with high conflict situations as well as with children dealing with anxiety, depression and ADD/ADHD.
Edna is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Practice (IACP) and the Collaborative Practice of San Mateo County where she serves on the Training and Education committee as well as the Marketing committee.
Edna co-facilitated a communication training to the members at CPSMC as well as several workshops about the Emotional effects of Divorce on children and their families.
She also led several Divorce groups in the past.
Edna is a graduate of John F. Kennedy University, Orinda Ca. with a Master’s degree in Professional Psychology. She has training in the team model of Collaborative Divorce as well as advanced training in working with high conflict families.
Edna’s experience, warmth and compassion for each member of the family help people understand themselves better and empower them to come up with the best possible agreement for their family.
