Pamela R. Canter is a Certified Family Law Specialist (by the Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California), and her family law practice includes collaborative practice, mediation and other transactional family law work. She is a member of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists, California Women Lawyers, and the state and local Bar Associations' sections on Family Law. Her involvement with the San Mateo County Bar Association includes serving as the Chair of the Family Law Section for three years, as a member of the Bench and Bar Committee, and as a Director of the Women Lawyers Legal Education Foundation. In 1999, Pamela co-founded the Peninsula Collaborative Family Law Group (now known as Collaborative Practice San Mateo County), and she served on the Executive Board of CPSMC for many years. She received her undergraduate degree in Romance Languages from New York University in 1989, and her law degree from the University of San Francisco in 1992. She founded Canter•Moorhead in 2000. Pamela is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbel, and has been named a “Northern California Super Lawyer” each year since 2006.
