George B Richardson, CFLS, JD (Lawyer/Mediator)
George has been a Collaborative Practitioner since the early 1990's and is the immediate Past-President of his state collaborative organization: Collaborative Practice California. Over the years, he has represented clients in scores of Collaborative Practice cases and has been a teaching member of teams that have trained hundreds of lawyers, mental health professionals, and financial specialists in Australia and throughout the United States and Canada.
George is a pioneer in Collaborative Practice. He is a founder and former President of Collaborative Practice Silicon Valley, one of the oldest collaborative practice organizations in North America and current and has handled scores of collaborative cases since his first case in 1995. He is a charter member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and is former co-chair of its Standards Committee [charged with drafting standards for practitioners, trainers, and trainings in Collaborative Practice] and co-founder and former co-chair of the Advisory Council on Collaborative Training. He has presented on specialized topics at IACP's Skills Institute and at every annual IACP Forum except Oakland-2001 . Since 1999, he, together with others, has trained hundreds of collaborative practitioners with one- and two-day introductory, fundamental, and advanced courses in Collaborative Practice. George received his BA from Princeton University, cum laude, in 1969 and his JD from Stanford Law School in 1972
