I believe the successful resolution of an important dispute is one of life's major
accomplishments. Sometimes people require professional assistance in achieving
their goals. Family matters, such as divorce or estate/trust planning and/or ad-
ministration can create such a situation.
The goal of the financial specialist is to give you a greater opportunity to achieve a
reasonable settlement which will last.
I believe I can do that by (1) assisting in identifying your objectives and concerns, (2) assisting gathering and organizing data, (3) providing an unbiased assessment of that data, (4) facilitating an
honest, safe and informed financial discussion, and (5) helping increase your knowledge
so that you are more confident in making financial decisions.
I have been a CPA since 1975 and had my own acounting practice in San Mateo for
almost 20 years. While maintaining a general practice, my emphasis over the last few
years has been in personal tax issues (including estates and trusts) and dispute resolution
(personal and business). I am trained in both mediation and collaborative practice. I have
a BA in Finance and Business Economics and an MBA in Accounting. My mediation training began in 1994 and my collaborative practice training began in 2002. I belong to
the California Society of CPAs, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals
and Collaborative Practice of San Mateo County.
